Tuany (2016)

Growing up in Complexo do Alemao Tuany, 22, managed to find her way out via competing as a ballerina. In spite of reaching certain recognition, she could not afford to continue her training and had to start working to support her family. While watching the youth of her siblings and other children disappearing into the darkness of the favela, she decided to share the values and skills of what she has learned as a ballerina. With the goal of improving the lives of other young children and giving them courage again.
