Divine Relevance (2016)

A once renowned female artist, whose renditions of religious paintings imbued with an East LA Chicano flair, has in recent years fallen out of popularity. Faced with the reality of having to shut down her studio, Angel confesses to her intern that she has lost faith in ever again becoming a relevant artist. Through a series of "happenstance" involving her art and some mishaps caused by her intern, the tides of fate are turned. Angel returns to her studio to find that something miraculous has occurred. A painting that she had been working on becomes altered in way that it attracts the attention of the religious elite. This ends up being a divine intervention of sorts wrapped tightly in a blanket of irony and coincidence.
