Spionen (1911)

Marian Best, a poor English governor, is out of work. The need is great, but she still helps her sick brother. She accepts an offer to become an English spy. Her first mission is to copy a Russian fortress. In order to fulfill her assignment she acquires work as a governor of a Russian official, General Stefanovitch. At one of the generals parties she meets Captain Paul Zauglich. He falls in love with Marian, and she uses him to obtain information.
