Floor 17 (2008)

2009, in the Shanghai megalopolis, Lin, a 25-year-old Chinese girl, is having an extramarital relationship with a French married man older than her. They are also neighbors and live at the 17th floor of a modern building, of which there are many in the city. Lin has secretly applied for a passport to leave her over-protective family and go abroad. One evening, as she comes back home, her mother discovers that her passport application has been approved. But Lin will have difficulties to pursue her goal: the pressure of traditional Chinese parents, the money necessary for escape, the tensions with her lover and his wife. - No matter, against all odds, in 24 hours, she will do everything to try leaving the country.
