Rabbin Hood (2014)

Rabbi Hood looks back over the unusual career of father, Max, Rabbi and outlaw. It brings us into a world of colorful characters: rabbis, lawyers, beggars, crooks, men and women of compassion and character. Max was a magician. On reflection, this Parisian-North African road movie could never really succeed in capturing such a getaway artist. But Rabbi Hood is also a journey within, confronting me with my relationship with this man, and the emotions this relationship never ceases to arouse in me. Over the course of this journey, my own feelings on being faced with the words of father come to light, these paradoxical words which passed on both law and transgression.
