A heartwarming and hilarious dramedy about Kenny Monahue, a down on his luck golf pro, currently suspended and facing banishment from the PGA circuit for his outlandish and irresponsible behavior both on and off the field. Broke, in severe debt from gambling, and tainted with a bad-boy reputation as a boozer and philanderer, this one-time champion has fallen from grace and is forced to take a temporary job as a groundskeeper at a PGA Country Club to make ends meet. While the PGA deliberates on his professional status, Kenny finds himself partnered with Eric Beemer, a professional groundskeeper with Special Needs, who has a unique perspective on the game of golf and inadvertently becomes a mentor and friend to Kenny, helping him reclaim his career, but more importantly, his life from the ground up.
