Wild Orchid Man: Journey to Machu Picchu (2015)

Flying over the Andes from Lima, Wild Orchid Man Stig Dalstrom and filmmaker Darryl Saffer land in Cusco. After exploring the city and the surrounding mountains, they head to the conservatory at Inkaterra and the fabled ruins of Machu Picchu. Inkaterra is a destination for ecotourism, with amazing diversity of birds, butterflies, bromeliads and, of course, orchids. Many orchid species in this area are yet unknown but an even bigger mystery surrounds Machu Picchu: why was it built and subsequently abandoned?
