Written and directed by Giuseppe Papasso with the participation of Alessandro Haber, Il Sole è buio is a docudrama which seeks to throw light on the phenomenon of child abuse. The film is a harsh condemnation of a disengaged society that prefers to deny, dismiss and hide its unease. The film is accompanied by the music of Ennio Morricone, with Prisca Amori on the violin, and a piece composed by Paolo Vivaldi.
