They Shine (2013)

In 2005, filmmaker Catherine Mullins documented the early struggles of two sibling families with Their Brothers' Keepers. She renews contact with her young subjects seven years later in THEY SHINE. Mullins skillfully juxtaposes scenes of her 2005 film with contemporary footage to craft a startlingly poignant story of resilience and human survival.
