The State of being Human (2015)

Bridging Ireland and Alabama, The State Of Being Human traces the roots of filmmaker David Merriman's own admitted homophobia. Featuring conversational interviews with members of the LGBTQ community in both Ireland and Alabama, Merriman, who remains at the center of the film, works to revise his initially narrow viewpoint and to understand the true cost of bigotry.
