The Last Canadian Road Movie (2003)

Floundering without a plan for a feature film, two starving filmmakers audition Gary, a delusional and hopelessly sincere method actor for a nonsensical 'leading role'. For months afterward they sadistically manipulate Gary as they stalk famous Canadian directors for advice on a non-existent 'Last Canadian Road Movie'. All in all, certainly the worst of feature film plans ever. But the impossible happens, flying in the face of conventional wisdom and against all odds the filmmakers score a wildly original, groundbreaking, Canadian comedy miracle.
