Irány Caracas (1982)

Béla Barna and his family preparing for Christmas holidays in 1956, Budapest. Unexpectedly appears an unknown guy and his friend to take the whole family abroad. On the following night they supposed to cross the border to Austria, and from there straight to Caracas, where one of their family member, Uncle Leopold lives for more than 10 years by now. It takes the family apart, even nobody knows the Uncle, they only guess who can be the mysterious helping hand. Béla wants to stay, his wife and daughter wants to leave Hungary behind, and they don't even guess that's only a fatal mistake.
