Teplitz: The Tyranny of Paradox (2008)

Twenty-two year-old Paxton Teplitz and his family are thrilled when he is recruited by the Whalers, an organization of inter-dimensional explorers. It's the most adventurous life he could have imagined for himself...but when he becomes separated from the other Whalers on his first journey, he finds himself in a mundane reality with a tedious desk job...and it becomes increasingly unclear whether it's the Whalers or the desk job that is the dream.
