Doug (Quinn Koskels), the world's best fisherman, is diagnosed with a rare case of fishing cancer; a disease that once plagued him and resulted in the loss of his arms. The cancer's back now, and he only has two weeks left to live. Within those two weeks, he decides to train his apprentice, Kevin (Ryan Nguyen), to compete in a fishing competition against his deranged son, Doug Jr (Quinn Koskela). Kevin trains hard, shedding the big threes (blood, sweat, and tears), but his competition is interrupted by Doug's funeral. Kevin attends the funeral, only to discover that Doug Jr scheduled it for the fishing competition, doesn't show up, and swindles the victory from Kevin. Kevin becomes overwhelmed with guilt, but is quickly motivated to train again after encountering Doug's ghost. Kevin challenges Doug Jr to a rematch, and Kevin casts a record breaking one hundred yard cast. The cast is so awesome that Doug Jr dies of a heart attack, and Kevin is recognized as the world's best fisherman.
