HBO Camera Assessment Series (2012)

Home Box Office's Stephen Beres, teams up with Director and DP Suny Behar to put current camera technology to the test while interviewing executives at HBO to assess their needs in this ever changing environment. They compare 5 digital cameras and 35mm film across 8 different challenges, meant to display which camera option is the right one for each job. This year, they compare the Arri Alexa Studio, the Sony F-65, the Red Epic and Scarlet, the Sony PMW F-3, the Canon EOS C-300, and 35mm film. The test categories consisted of green screen and VFX, movement, available light, skin tone, dynamic range, and mixed lighting.
