RED (2023)

The story of RED starts from a slum located on the outskirts of Mumbai. The Bhau [small time criminal] of the slum named Jaggu arrives on a motorcycle with the prettiest girl of the locality named Rani on the pillion of the motorcycle and stops at the shop on the right above. The shop keeper gets scared upon seeing them. It turns out that Rani's father is an unemployed drunkard and the shopkeeper provides monthly ration and a bottle of country liquor to him with the intention of sleeping with Rani one day. When Rani came to know this, she sought the help of Jaggu [who has a crush on Rani] and now Jaggu has come on the motorcycle to warn the shopkeeper to stay away from Rani. Accidently in the scuffle between Jaggu and the shopkeeper, the latter falls on a sharp object and gets fatally wounded. At the same time the police siren is heard as shopkeeper's helper had dialed 100. Seeing the police approaching Jaggu starts the motorcycle and escapes from there with Rani.
