The Recovery Channel is a genre-investigating film that is built up as a news broadcast and consists of two newscasters, Randi and Omar, reports, guests in the studio and five on the street. It will delve deeply and presents news exclusively about mental health and coersion i psychiatry. In addition, we follow the editorial meetings and Randi's life outside the broadcast, as next to kin to her sister Ylva who will not accept help. The film comments on the media's role, its power and how their scarce form helps to define how we receive knowledge about mental illness, diagnoses and coercion.
