"Diogenes" is the historically-fictional retelling of the life of Diogenes the Cynic, a well-known, controversial philosopher in Ancient Greece. Armed with nothing but a wooden tub and a wooden bowl, Diogenes proves to the world that action is louder than words; Diogenes makes his philosophies known, whether through urination or desecration. When Diogenes is exiled from Sinope, he travels to the heart of Athens to further spread his teachings of wisdom and freedom through independence from society. Across the border, King Philip II plans to attack Corinth with a mindset quite opposite from Diogenes'. Diogenes must find his way to finally strip a powerful king away from the luxuries of society and prove that success comes not from labels, power, or order, but from living in agreement with nature and with one another. All the while, we have a not-so-orderly Greek Chorus to guide the story along.
