A lone conductor struggles for inspiration, and finds it with Stravinsky's The Firebird, in what he perceives as notes coming alive and his music manifesting before him. It depicts the struggle that artists through for creativity and communication. Set to Igor Stravinsky's "The Firebird" suite, this short film relies on elements of live action and heavy animation to tell the story of a rebellious note, a musical vortex, and a musically driven energy mass. Shot and edited in only twenty days, it premiered live on a screen behind the famous Cincinnati Pops Orchestra to a sold out show at the historic Cincinnati Music Hall, during their performance of The Firebird. Produced through the facilities of the University of Cincinnati, College- Conservatory of Music Electronic Media Division and I and Eye Productions.
