Volume Control (2020)

Larry, a scientist who has been shunned by the world, with his laboratory assistant Simon, and wife Rosa retreats into his own private practice. He identifies a brain cell in his studies on neuroscience. Larry realizes this new brain cell could potentially increase IQ levels in humans. He asks Rosa, who is pregnant with Larry's twin boys, to help him finish the research: "The next great scientific achievement". Rosa refuses to help Larry to conduct illegal experiments on humans and threatens him with reporting to the authorities. After another argument Rosa leaves Larry alone in his laboratory.
