Family Portrait (2020)

This is a story about relations. A story of a family Galit, Yoav, and Delia allow a small peek to an episode of their unusual routine. A family of three bounded by dependence, love and care. Galit (31) and Yoav (43) are people with high self and social awareness, they are active dreamers. They both have academic degrees in education. worked in various community, social and political jobs in key positions. They were both born with a severe physical disability which they cope with all their lives. Galit and Delia's relations began 11 years ago. Delia, a Philippine caregiver helps Galit with both basic and complex daily activities. Throughout the years they developed a deep and close relationship. Delia, who is almost to decades older than Galit, is not only a caregiver for her but also a close friend and sometimes an older sister. After Galit and Yoav's marriage, Delia chose to be a care giver for Yoav as well. Ever since they live as a couple -trio. The film shows this special relationship. By giving the viewer a peek to their lives, Galit Yoav and Delia offer a possibility for a unique and moving lifestyle where love and care overcome physical disability. They show that every family has limitations and disabilities, every family has tensions, every family has moments of bliss, every family has love. The film follows the family as they plan a family vacation, through their daily routine and on the vacation itself.
