A 41-year-old Israeli film director currently living in Berlin is returning to Israel to meet some of her friends from elementary school. She learns what has been happening in their lives since their paths parted. Through this, we get a glimpse of different types of Israelis, things that connect them to their homeland, and how they see what happened to the promise of a better life given to them back then while they were still in school. In Israel, the documentary premiered at the 2021 Haifa International Film Festival as "Petah Tikva" (literally meaning "entrance of hope"), the name of the city where the schoolmates once lived.
