Madalitso (2020)

Two unsuspecting street musicians from Lilongwe, Malawi, find themselves on the road in the UK touring some of the most prestigious festivals for world music. This short documentary explores a slice of their 2019 European tour as they struggle with the ups and downs of a tour and perform for enthusiastic crowds. The documentary has a festival documentary feel allowing us to hear some of their songs. This is juxtaposed with interviews and other moments as they journey around the strange land of England.
