Why a mini documentary about girls and women? The short answer is three reasons: 1) I was raised by a working single-mother; 2) I was co-parented by a grandmother; and 3) I have three daughters. And They All Lived Happily Ever After is a proof of concept: What would you do, if after 26 years as a wife and stay at home mother, you were served divorce papers and told to figure it out? Most little girls grow up thinking they can be anything they want to be, until something in life reveals itself and suggests different. I think this short piece would encourage young ladies and women to share their stories. No woman wants her daughter to grow up to be heartbroken; no daughter was to sacrifice her hopes and dreams .
