Based out of Bombay, an imaginatively recounted tale revolves around a 50 year old man, 'Ranjit Singh' who set foot in his house in Mumbai, India, right after facing a sentence of 25 years in Pakistan because he inadvertently crossed the border. This led to him being assumed as an Indian spy who was also charged with the offence or crime of causing blasts in Lahore, one of Pakistan's wealthiest cities. Considering Singh's desires of saving himself from the false accusations and reaching his own house accidentally; makes us realise that despite being prominently beyond belief it is a convincing thought. He was so used to a low-self esteem that he didn't even like to look at himself. He was dead from within but was way too good at expressing his emotions on walls because of his time in jail. Even after returning home, he was not physically present in the house. He was devastated from his years at the prison and this was evident from his way of life. Scratching on the walls was the important and probably the only way for Singh to express his feelings. His will to live and resume normal life was almost destroyed until his sister and his paintings reflected his journey of mental pain and added colours to his life.
