After an incident with law enforcement, ambitious teenager "Mendel" (Vonzell Scott) is recruited by a neighborhood organization of freedom fighters in 1968 Chicago. His own morals are soon tested after secrets are revealed to him regarding the agenda of the organization from the Spokesperson "RC" (Kevin Morrow) to it's Gatekeepers.
