Afterlife (2020)

Every four years, the global community unites to celebrate the achievements of the human body and mind, often propelling athletes into overnight celebrities. But as the Olympic games conclude, so does society's attention and interest in the world's most revered performers. As a 33-year-old, Bulgarian-born swimmer, Mihail Alexandrov, had spent the majority of his life in the pool, surpassing the lifespan of most professional swimmers. But despite a strong mind, the body knows its own age. Afterlife follows the struggle of an aging athlete to reconcile the inevitability of retirement while training for a seat on the U.S. Team in Tokyo.
