Gretchen has lost her best friend in life. She has to do something to stop the pain. Her mother feels her daughter is depressed, but can't help her. Gretchen is trying to find relief in every possible way, nothing works. The pain is far too painful. She feels she has to make a drastic choice, the choice of life or death.
