The Big Files (1997)

Local television reporter, Ty Bowie, has spent his lackluster career trying to find a story that would bring him national fame and stardom. He soon gets more than he bargained for when, while searching for a missing local (Skippy, the cabbage boy), he and his camera man, Joe, become wrapped up in a vast government conspiracy. When friend and local, Buddy Cracker, discovers some secret files they learn they're getting too close to a terrible secret involving alien abduction and plans for an invasion of Earth.
