A group of neighbours conceive an imaginative formula to revive the most emblematic building in Seurí (Catalan Pyrenees): they ask artist Santi Moix to paint the walls of the Romanesque church of the town that has seen the painter grow up. Moix, who has lived and worked in New York for thirty years, accepts the challenge and begins a mystical journey back to his origins, which will last four years. The film, following four years' production, portrays two colliding worlds that live within Santi: New York, a modern city, overcrowded, showcase of the most ferocious capitalism, and Seurí, a village of twelve inhabitants, punished by rural depopulation, but that refuses to disappear.
