The first documentary to tell the story of Lucho Bermúdez's musical journey through the coast of Colombia to the center of the country in the frosty Bogotá, where he had everyone dancing to the Caribbean rhythm. Since the 1940s, Lucho Bermúdez and his orchestra with singer Matilde Diaz, dedicated themselves to spreading Colombian regional sounds across the country and the world. Adding a big-band jazz touch, they immortalized the coastal rhythms such as the Cumbia and the Porro and created noteworthy compositions such as San Fernando, Prende la Vela, Tolú, Salsipuedes, and Colombia Tierra Querida. This documentary travels through the places that influenced Bermúdez: Carmen de Bolívar, Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín, and Club San Fernando in Cali. It collects the testimony of his friends, his musicians, his family, and the master himself. They tell the stories of working with this great composer and performer of the clarinet and how his music changed Colombian sound forever. Featuring Lucho Bermúdez, Matilde Díaz, Bobby Ruiz, Leda Montes, Plinio Guzmán, Miguel Ospino, Luis Díaz, José Arteaga Rafael Escalona and Celia Cruz.
