The Sigma Delta Chi Awards Live from Washington D.C. (2019)

The Sigma Delta Chi Awards are some of the most prestigious and coveted awards given to journalists. Dating back to 1932, the awards originally honored six individuals for contributions to journalism. The current program began in 1939, when the Society granted the first Distinguished Service Awards. The Sigma Delta Chi Awards are presented annually by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) (formerly Sigma Delta Chi) for excellence in journalism.
