Women Unchained (2013)

Kharaz Camp for Somali Refugees in Yemen is the setting of the movie 'Women Unchained'. The movie revolves around the story of a group of women fighting against Female Circumcision in the refugees' community. This group of women gathers in awareness seminars run by a midwife, who no more performs female circumcision. Each one tells her own story whether it was witnessing or personally suffering the tragedy caused by this abusive ritual that harvested the lives of hundreds of thousands of girls in areas where it spreads.
