This documentary details the operations of the Mainline Steam Heritage Trust throughout many parts of New Zealand as seen through the eyes of Bethany Grace Miller. Since the late 1980's, the Mainline Steam Heritage Trust has been conducting steam train excursions throughout the length and breadth of New Zealand and during that time, have visited the extremes of the mainline railway network. Starting with only a small number of steam locomotives, the trust has grown and now operates a sizable number from the largest private collection of mainline steam locomotives in the world. Ian Welch, the founder of the trust, had a strong desire to return his collection of steam locomotives back on the mainlines of New Zealand and set about with other members of the trust to achieve this. Bethany Grace Miller has been fortunate to have travelled and worked on some of the trips so join her as she details a few of the trust's excursions dating back to 1989.
