Bi-racial 16 year-old Danni reveres her 17-year-old brother Wilt, and when Wilt dies in a car accident Danni is despondent and is put on meds. One week after Wilt's funeral, Danni gets a call -- it's from Wilt. No one really believes Danni, as when they take the phone from her, all they hear is static. For a girl who's been too afraid to live, it's now her mission to solve her brother's murder-mystery so his soul can move on. We follow Danni as an unreliable narrator who finds self-worth, connection, and love in the most absurd places, driven by a need to find a greater purpose and to redeem her brother.
