Dehlight (2020)

Dehlight' is a warm-yet-honest reminder of the hidden potential in everyone, no matter the hardship of their circumstances. It's a reminder that when people support people, unimaginable growth can result. Dehlight gets up close and personal with the day to day lives of the slum, where clean water is fatally scarce, proper nutrition is out of reach, and where children spend their days doing repetitive work as opposed to learning and growing their minds. However, change comes in small yet mighty ways when Sonu (Kamalpreet Kaur) begins to teach the children of the slum, sowing the seeds of education and a brighter future. Learning opportunities extend to the women of the town as they are given (and willingly take) the opportunity to learn to sew, unlocking a wealth of skill, determination, creativity, and most importantly, the support of each other. Simla Sooboodoo takes these garments to international runways in order to put everybody's focus on them.
