Overload (2018)

A Chinese overseas student who is depressed by doubts from family and rejections in career is cruelly murdered by a serial killer who preys in the apartment's elevator. People seek to achieve self-worth and be able to care for their loved ones, but the disappointment and exhaustion could be so frustrating that they have to give their best to not give up, and one encouragement could be significant. However, evil could be close, and then all the striving will be tossed away indifferently. The creation of this film is inspired by several abuse and murder cases of female Chinese oversea students. This film aims to raise the social concern on the well-being of overseas students under globalization and transnational environments.
