Ascension (2016)

A Survivor barricades himself from the outside world, a world filled with destruction, violence and disease. A voice calling for help echoes on the radio. But hardened from a dangerous world, the Survivor ignores the SOS callers' pleas and continues sketching on his desk. The next day, the Survivor is contacted by a familiar voice...a voice yearning for his approval and his presence. As the Survivor contemplates this and sleeps through the night, the creatures that have taken over the world try desperately to claim the Survivor...but to no avail. Having survived another day, one final voice reaches out from the radio in pain, abandonment and anger...his wife. Forcing the Survivor to face his sins and those he left behind. With nothing left for him to do, the Survivor grabs his sketch of his family and switching off the radio and gets ready to walk into the world and face the unknown.
