Artist and educator Karen Turner was honored at a PETA reception at Ivy Brown Gallery in New York City, for her 100 eye-catching death rattles similar to those used in indigenous cultures. With her exhibition, she wants to let people know about the importance of ending animal suffering, and the rattles are a reminder that all animals should be free from exploitation and abuse.
