Chalne Do (2019)

SAATHYA is an aspiring actress who comes to Mumbai for a role in a film. She is ambitious and is willing to go the extra mile to secure the role. For her preparation, Saathya uses her charm to cajole ROOP, a member of the waitstaff at the hotel at which Saathya comes to stay. She intends to rehearse her lines with him for the audition. Though Roop is initially reluctant, he succumbs to Saathya's irresistible appeal and agrees to play along. And then begins the almost surrealistic romance between the two. They perform like smitten lovers would-there's seduction, there's love, and then there's betrayal. As the story evolves, it becomes increasingly unclear whether they are just playacting or if there is more to their romance than meets the eye. It is particularly true of Saathya, who at one point voices this confusion. Is Saathya truly in love with Roop or is it all just pretense? Does she get the role? What becomes of Roop? While some of these questions are answered in an unusual climax, some are left open to the imagination.
