A throwback to the golden era of cinema. 1939 chronicles the meta journey of Dan Quinn, a Philly born and bred classic film connoisseur, who finds himself on the run and desperate for cash after a bungled mob deal. A cross country jaunt lands Dan in Hollywood where he attempts to make his own "picture" but instead finds himself living out the plot lines.
