Creon, Antigone's second oldest sister who has inherited the throne, issued a royal edict banning the burial of Polyneices, the oldest sister and previous queen. Antigone defies the law, buries Polynices, and is caught. Creon tries to convince Antigone to go quietly when Antigone realizes Creon killed Polynices to usurp the throne. When Creon locks her away, she kills herself. Inspired by Sophocles' Antigone, this silent film is told cinematically using aerial dance.
