While usually not too graphic, it's clear what's happening. In one plot arc, a bull must be treated medically to restore its sexual drive. Its substantial testes can be seen, but aren't focused on in a lewd way.

Animals sometimes have accidents or medical needs requiring surgery. The cuts and incisions are shown in medical detail, but usually not too bloody.

Fairly frequent consumption of beer and some hard liquors. Some gatherings take place in a bar. A character oversleeps because he stayed out too late. A supporting character tends to overindulge, but this is part of his development and contrasted by the temperance of another main character.

Animals are shown injured or in pain, and sometimes have to be put down. Not violent or gory but may be upsetting for some.
