I Am Reckless (2019)

I Am Reckless is a short 20-minute documentary that follows grime musician Mic Righteous during an important part of his career. The piece focuses specifically on the person behind the rap persona as it allows for a new perspective on his friends, family and career. During the documentary, pivotal people from Mic's personal and professional career put forward their opinion on the Margate born MC. The piece was shot in the style that is reminiscent of similar documentaries on musicians. It brings the audience into Mic's process of creating music as well as showcasing the tremendous talent that has been critically acclaimed across the country. The project documents the high's and lows of his life to this point and ultimately reveal why he has decided to change his stage-name to Mic Reckless. The audience gets to see a more raw, unfiltered side to the rap musician.
