Documents the closure of Sonoma Developmental Center--a state run center for the developmentally disabled that was open from 1891-2018. The central question the documentary asks is, "What does it mean to be human"? The film is composed of interviews with family members of residents who lived at the center who answer questions about advocacy and what it meant to have placed a loved one there and what it means to have the center shut down permanently.
