Liana Bortolon - Discovering Art (2021)

Documentary about the life of Liana Bortolon, journalist and art critic active between the 60s and 90s, editor of the weekly "Grazia", a refined and discreet woman yet always one step ahead in her work and in her life. She was one of the first among art critics to speak not only of the work, but also of the artist's life and motivations. She was also the first to focus on female art, at a time when full-time female artists were not even considered. Finally, she had the courage to write about art and artists outside the small elite of museums and galleries: she wrote about it in a large-circulation women's weekly, having the opportunity to speak with a large female audience, usually far from the figurative art.
