Sausage Row is a row of farm houses that have seen better days on the outskirts of Kelebia near the southern border of Hungary. Among the abandoned houses there are only a few inhabited dwellings: only the most persistent ones have remained here. Everything is very far from here, there are no paved roads or shops and the nearest railway station is several kilometers away. The village caretaker is the only link to the outside world, the umbilical cord, physical and emotional help at the same time: he delivers food and medicine, takes people to see a doctor, helps with work around the house and, if appropriate, cares for their mental health. Dramatic and joyful moments are revealed on a day's journey following him. People who have been living in solitude for a long time, who do not easily let visitors into their closed world, open up.
