Astray

Astray follows ten animal-loving volunteers from Southern California as they travel to Romania to solve the country's overwhelming stray dog problem. The well-meaning crew experiences the tragedy of the situation firsthand as their plans unravel on the very first day. Language and cultural barriers complicate the rescue efforts, and a general mistrust within the former communist nation threatens to derail it all. The film is narrated by Eva Sippel.
