Tambora: Songs from Loba (2016)

The Momposina depression is a region in Colombia where some villages converge and share an ancient tradition: Tambora music. Time has brought along several changes causing a reduction in celebrations with Tambora music and a loss of interest among the younger inhabitants. In this context, a tension arises between the people who defend traditionalism as a means of keeping this music alive, and those who are sure about making slight musical innovations in order to make the newer generations fall in love again with the Tambora. Tambora: Songs from Loba depicts this tension through the great musical content and dynamism of Tambora music.
