Judges Under Pressure (2021)

They were taught that they were to speak only by their decisions, to keep their distance, to participate in public life with restraint. But professional ethics also obliged them to courageously defend judicial independence. Kacper Lisowski and Iwona Harris devoted their film to those Polish judges who listened to the voice of ethics in the times of the attack on free courts. In a short time, Igor Tuleya, Waldemar Zurek, Dorota Zabludowska and other heroes of the film were reborn as judges-citizens who, alongside independent prosecutors, lawyers and civil society, defend our right to independent courts.
